Brand new to yoga? The best classes to land in to begin are any of the "Gentle" or "Restorative" classes on the schedule.
Restorative~A deeply relaxing experience. Often incorporating the use of props to assist in getting into and supporting postures. Suited to all levels. Particularly a good class for those wanting to calm the nervous system, de-stress and decompress. Restorative for mind, body and spirit. A wonderful complement to a stronger practice or other modes of exercise .
* Very suitable for beginners. Where in a "Gentle" class you might have upwards of 30 postures in a class, a "Restorative" class is very slow moving, not as many postures and lots of support! Very relaxing.
Gentle Yoga~ A very gentle and fairly traditional class combining the elements of Hatha Yoga ( breath, asana, relaxation) to create a class that you can tailor to your needs. A great class for Beginners to learn the basics! Suited to all levels.
*Very suitable for beginners. Includes seated and standing postural work, simple breath techniques and guided relaxation and meditation.
( previously known as LSD aka Yoga for Athletes)~Exactly what it says it is...a class that is suited to just about all levels of practice, particularly to those who cross train and are looking to enhance flexibility, strength and focus. Physical practice is primarily focused on the lower half of the body with particular attention to increasing flexibility of the hips, hamstrings and hip flexors and to building strength in the core.
* Class is suitable for those with some experience and is particularly designed with cross training in mind.
Simply yoga. Focus is on postures (asana), breath technique (pranayam), relaxation and the personal experience of yoga practice. Postures are built from the ground up, allowing you to take a more gentle approach or build in intensity. Suited to all levels, from beginners to experienced yogis. Great class to learn the basics and for taking an already existing practice deeper.
*Class is suited to most levels of experience. More challenging than "Gentle" but not as fast flowing as "Power".
Power ~Ashtanga Style!~Ashtanga is the "mother" of all power yoga practices. This class introduces the fundamental elements of the practice in a guided flow that is designed intelligently to open and stretch, enliven and strengthen every bit of your body!
*This is a high intensity class. Some previous experience recommended.
Vinyasa inspired class. Focus is on creating heat in the body, building on strength, increasing flexibility while synchronizing breath work to fire up the entire practice, infusing it all with a sense of play!
Some previous yoga experience recommended, though not imperative.

Prenatal Yoga ~Babes in Bellies
time to connect with your baby and take care of yourself. Move through a safe progression of gentle
yoga postures to bring strength and awareness to your changing body and to
bring relief from some of the discomforts of pregnancy. Learn breathing and relaxation techniques to
help you unwind and calmly prepare for labor and delivery.

Moms and Babes Yoga~( Returning in January 2015)
Connect with your little one and with other parents and caregivers through exploring movement and gentle yoga exercises.
We will be running this class for 4 weeks to begin ( Jan.21,28, Feb.4,11).
Regular membership prices ( babies play for FREE! :)) and we hope to be able to offer it on a ongoing basis as part of our regular membership.
